Usually a book comes along and leave you with a loss for words. Such is the case for this book. To say I enjoyed this book will be an understatement. I love love this book. The story drew me in from the beginning. This is an unconventional love story. The author was consistent with her story the sequence the dialogue, editing was on point.Meet zoey a free spirited good girl who at a very early age lost both her parents. Zoey father best friend Tony took her in and raise her along with his four very handsome sons. All the sons treated zoey like a sister except one Val...
"You don't know how long I've dreamed about you, Zoey."
What I love most about this book, was that the story line was about zoey and Val focused on just them. The supporting characters were felt but it was not distracting from the story. Zoey and val didn't just fell in love or they had feelings overnight. It was explained that over a period of 10 years they had it but they shied away from it. However It grew and we saw that. We saw Val questioning his feelings for his "sister" and zoey feeling like an outsider.
I love the fact that when he needed someone to help him she was willing to do that. She put aside her feelings to bring joy to Val. That is an exceptional person.
This author has vied my attention and captured my reading hearts joy.
The story was engaging, funny, cute, romantic sexual everything that I look for in romance book.
Take a bow ms burns you, have found yourself a new fan.
P.s I can't wait for the other books in this series....
I highly recommend'''''

Taming Val The Romanovsky Brothers Book 1 edition by Trevion Burns Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
I'm always conflicted on how to rate a book in which I LOVED the storyline, but other factors in place causes it to go from a love to a like!!! Taming Val is a prime example of this. So here's the good
I absolutlely adored the characters - Val, Zoey and the rest of the Romanovsky clan and honestly I look forward to reading the other books (hopefully the author will invest in a content editor before releasing any new books). They were a close knit group with plenty of secrets and an umbreakable bond. Without giving too much of the story away, when you find out they were raised as siblings, you tend to think it's a little taboo for Val and Zoey to persue a relationship. But oh no, the author finds a way to work the relationship so you don't have a choice but to root for them.
Here's the "issues" - there were so many discrepancies in the book, that it changed the feel of it. For instance Daddy Romanovsky retired from the police force after 50 years of service but was only almost 60 in age - of course this is impossible. All of the "kids" ages were 24, 28 and 29, but they were all in HS together - another over sight. Again, the book and story line were really good, but these inconsistencies take away from the enjoyment of the story!
The author really seems to have a gift, my hope is that she revisits these issues before issuing the next book. I'm wiling to give her another chance. Besides, the Romanovsky's are interesting enough for me to want to know more.
I'm certain this may be a Unlimited read for me, but I'm not sure. If it is I plan to buy this book as soon as I'm done with my review. It's worth owning.
Anyway this book was a total surprise for me. I'm a new reader of this author's work. Zoey is the adopted sister of Val, Roman, Leo and Gary. They're all hunks who look at her as a sister...for the most part. Except Val has a thing for her that he has been angrily denying for years.
When Val realizes he's infertile or so he thinks in comes Zoey. His doctor tells him he has a short timeframe to have children and he's running out of time. They hook up and the chemistry is off the charts. However, they have to keep what they're doing a secret, because Gary, Roman and Leo would kill him for sleeping with Zoey.
In the midst of their tryst secrets about the death of Zoey's parents are revealed. The truth is heartbreaking and could forever change the dynamic of their new found love.
They're confronted about their relationship. Trouble erupts wishing the families million dollar company and secrets about the past come to light.
There was suspense, hot alpha male characters, drama, and love in the first book of this series. This was a pretty good book. I read this one really fast.
Pros
Sexy characters.
Alpha males.
Val is really a sexy character. Written very well.
Suspense.
Drama.
Protective alpha males.
Hot sex scenes.
Angie and Roman. I liked them.
Cons
This isn't a stand alone. There will probably be four books in this series to include this one. And this story has some incomplete suspense that has to be resolved. However...you can just tell they will be equally as great as this one. So for some it's a con, but it's really a plus.
